Review by hotel critic
During my recent stay at the Pen and Parchment in Stratford-upon-Avon, I experienced a delightful culinary journey that reflected both local charm and innovative dining. Having a penchant for great food, I was eager to explore the offerings. The dinner menu featured thoughtfully prepared dishes, with my main course being a roast that arrived generously adorned with gravy, a comforting nod to traditional fare. The ambiance of the restaurant complemented the meal perfectly, creating a cozy atmosphere that made the dining experience enjoyable. For breakfast, while it took a bit longer than expected for my hot meal to arrive, the wait was rewarded with a well-cooked plate that energised my day. The selection of hot drinks was impressive. I particularly relished the Salted Caramel Luxury Hot Chocolate, a rich and warming treat as I mentally planned my next outdoor adventure. The staff members, notably Daniel and Heather, made a remarkable impact with their attentiveness. I appreciated the cleanliness and spaciousness of my room, alongside the hotel’s excellent location, which facilitated easy access to the town's cultural offerings. The Pen and Parchment provided a pleasurable stay that I would readily recommend to fellow food enthusiasts.
